Microsoft Announces Release Date for ‘Xbox One Slim’

Get ready for the XB1-S next month!

After much anticipation, Microsoft has finally revealed the official release date for their upcoming Xbox One S console. Today, the company has announced that its upcoming slim system will be arriving to retailers this August 2nd, as pre-orders of the launch edition are available right now.

The console will be in limited quantity for its first wave, which consumers are trying to get the new 40 percent smaller and powerful in time for upcoming releases Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3.

Consumers will have the choice of purchasing a 2TB machine for $399 – with the options of a 1TB and 500GB edition for $349 USD and $299 USD, respectively. Extra controllers with an improved Bluetooth support, textured grip and wireless signal, will also be available for $59.99 USD.
