With the shortage of consoles decreasing as months progress in 2021, Microsoft is shifting focus to do something rare in the gaming world. Microsoft revealed this week, that they’re planning new designed Xbox monitors to unlock the true power of HDMI 2.1 on the Xbox Series X|S.

Over the last two years, they’ve been working with Philips, ASUS, and Acer for the new HDMI 2.1 integration; which hasn’t been showcased yet on a mainstream level. While most games are now starting to run at 60 frames-per-second, Microsoft’s new display sets will feature 4K HDR at 120Hz.

Although variable refresh rates will occur, they believe any gamer will be able to get the ideal monitor they want for a preferred gaming experience. The Philips Momentum 559M1RYV 55 is leading things off in August, with a price tag of $1599.99 USD.

The 28” Acer Xbox Edition Gaming Monitor XV282K KV model, will be available in the fall at a prince of $949.99 USD; while the ASUS ROG Strix Xbox Edition XG43UQ 43″ is set for October without a price.
