Is Steph Curry really the blame, 2K?
After a few patches harming the greatness we witnessed during the first weekend of NBA 2K16, the basketball franchise is back to square one of frustrating its long-time fan base. To make things worse, 2K Sports has revealed this week in an interview with Forbes Magazine that’s it having a hard time to adjust to the impossible shots Stephen Curry has incorporated into the NBA.
From half court, contested and off-balance fade-away shooting from the league’s MVP, the developers of NBA 2K are trying to take focus off their horrendous shooting release issue this season – which will be addressed next fall for its next rollout. The on-going three-point cheese has caused some users to shy away from the title on private competitive online sessions, which the normal balance of making a slightly-late A-minus shot doesn’t make things any better.
NBA 2K gameplay director Mike Wang, soon said, “Scoring in the paint and 3-point shooting have historically been the toughest areas to properly balance. Taking 3s off the dribble are also definitely discouraged in NBA 2K, especially after over-dribbling beforehand.”
We’re not sure why the greatest shooter of all-time would be the blame, for glitchers finding out ways to abuse the three-point shot on the virtual hardwood; but Steph definitely needs to have his own shooting stats exclusive for next season. Let us know in the comments if you think Steph Curry is breaking the franchise – or if you also think the game has been an embarrassment since NBA 2K9.
