‘NBA Playgrounds’ Resurrects NBA Street & NBA Jam Gameplay in Debut Trailer

solo, local-multiplayer or against the world online

With our hate for NBA 2K17 growing at an alarming rate every week, an alternative basketball fix with new rosters is happening. Indie game developer, Saber Interactive is planning to release their new title, NBA Playgrounds. The new 2-on-2 arcade style basketball game, pays homage to both NBA Street and NBA Jam; and will have licensed players and jerseys from the league.

Above, is the debut teaser trailer, which showcases Allen Iverson having a duel with Steph Curry and George Hill in the opening sequences. Along with Russell Westbrook and James Harden also having cameos, we’re all but sold on the $20 dollar digital experience – with the exception of that weak ass Dirk Nowitzkij layup in closing. Our recommendation would be to purchase for the Nintendo Switch, but NBA Playgrounds will also be releasing on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Look for an official May release date in the coming weeks.
