Last September, Mario creator, Shigeru Miyamoto announced Nintendo was continuing its partnership with Apple, following their summer success for Pokémon Go. While the original Japanese franchise is unlikely to hit mobile devices any time soon, a spin-off title was soon revealed, Super Mario Run. The side-scrolling, auto-runner platformer is the closest thing fans of the series will have to the real this holiday, but its roll-out has some of the gaming world angering.
On December 15th, Super Mario Run will officially hit the iOS store for the price of $9.99, which is a bit expensive for a single-player platformer. However, given its popular and name value, we expect it to climb into the top charts for Apple immediately following its release.
