No network is currently announced for the project

It only took 10-years, but a popular first-person shooter is officially heading to TV. Paramount Television and Anonymous Content are plotting out the official roll out for their adaption of Electronic Arts’ franchise, Battlefield. With the help of both D.I.C.E. and EA Games, the small-screen series is set to be executive produced by Michael Sugar and Ashley Zalta.

Although no network is tied to the project at the moment, Anonymous Content is normally known for deploying broadcasting, premium cable, standard cable and streaming content.

If you’re skeptical whether or not the pending live-action series will be underwhelming; Anonymous Content has recently produced the USA Network hit-series, Mr. Robot, as well as recent Oscar winners The Revenant and Spotlight – just to name a few.

Look for details to emerge likely during the launch of Battlefield 1 later this year.

Paramount Television and Anonymous Content Press Statement.

“EA’s Battlefield has an incredibly dynamic narrative, which will allow us to bring this exciting and unique property to the small screen. We look forward to working with EA and Anonymous Content and thank Michael Sugar for his tenacity in bringing us this exciting project. Together with EA and Paramount TV, we’ll develop the Battlefield TV series with the same commitment to robust storytelling that has made the game such a runaway success for nearly fifteen years.”
