EXCLUSIVE: A Major Update on PS5 & Xbox Series X Retail Stock Alerts for Summer 2021

They’re not coming. . .

Last week, we were invited on an investor call with an unspecified company, regarding the immediate future of console shortages for both the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. It was revealed that it’s very unlikely we’ll ever see the PS5 and Xbox Series X in stores this year. So, until 2022, every transaction for PS5 and XSX will be done online.

This means retailers like GameStop and Best Buy will be cashing in on their insanely expensive and over-priced bundles upwards of $900 USD. So, if you’ve been holding out and believe you’ll be able to just walk into a store, it’s not going to happen this year at all. You should just get a console online from Facebook Marketplace, StockX or Ebay.

Now, the surprising intel of this conversation, was that Microsoft is going to start flooding retailers with the Xbox Series S. So, by the end of May, you’ll be able to find a Series S anywhere. For those of you who don’t want to wait on the Series X or PS5, the cheaper $299 model might best suit you. It’ll have Game Pass, which is home to MLB The Show, every Microsoft first party title and Bethesda titles for Free.

Let us know in the comments if how you’ll be making a purchase for next-gen systems, if you’re trying to avoid over-paying.
