Sony Reveals “Tekken 7” Will Have Virtual Reality Experience on PlayStation 4

The Tekken 7 announcement trailer

For whatever reason, Katsuhiro Harada and Bandai Namco Entertainment need to make an announcement for Tekken 7 on PlayStation 4 today, at its Paris event. While the arcade game will also be transitioning to Xbox One as well, the PS4 version is set to have exclusive content only, as Microsoft fighting fans will be left out once again (see: Street Fighter).

Sony also revealed the title would be arriving to PlayStation VR in the first person, which we’re very intrigued to see how the game will react in a non-third person perspective. Details for virtual reality in the Tekken 7 launch are scarce at the moment, but Sony is looking to steadily build up its library before the first-party accessory arrives next year.

With the fighting franchise celebrating its 20th anniversary, the latest chapter in the Mishima clan saga will come an unfortunate end in the forthcoming installment of the fighting franchise. Above, we get a first official look at the next-generation title, using the Unreal Engine 4.
