Gears of War is coming to the big screen!
On Thursday night, the video game world was granted with the biggest first-party exclusive release of the entire year, Gears of War 4. However, the only current-gen installment on the Xbox one wasn’t the only news long-time fans of the series are granted some major information.
Universal Pictures has officially picked up film rights to the official GoW movie, which will be directed by Scott Stuber and Dylan Clark. In previous years, New Line Cinema were looking to obtain rights for the landmark franchise, but deals could never come to fruition.
At the moment, writers and actors nor a release date have been revealed, but we’re sure something will emerge from Microsoft and Universal before the end of 2018.
