Gears of War is finally going BIG!
After years of teasing plans for a theatrical spin-off, the legendary third-person shooter from Microsoft is finally coming to cinemas. This week, Universal Pictures has shared the first details for their upcoming live-action adaption for Gears of War.
With Microsoft Studios helming the project, Avatar director Shane Salerno is set to write the screenplay for the iconic franchise – produced by Dylan Clark. Last holiday, the project was first announced, as an official green-light for production should happen before the year’s end.
The epic battle of the coalition and the locust aliens has potential to create a cinematic universe of its own; but we’ll hold off judgement until we get a look at the final thing next year.
