$20 Bucks A Month, RIP Hidden Fees from Commercial TV providers!

Last November, Sony surprised many with the announcement of their exclusive web-based TV Service, PlayStation Vue. While the cloud-based product was very intriguing, it was missing key Disney and Time Warner networks from its line-up reveal. Coincidentally, their rival Microsoft has announced a new partnership with Dish Networks new over-the-top Sling TV service. The product, which only requires internet, will cost only $20 a month and will feature ESPN Networks, TNT, TBS, CNN, Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, and Adult Swim among others.

With DirecTV’s packaging seeing a price hike in the coming weeks, this could potentially be a nice addition for those of you with Hulu and Neflix. Alongside Xbox One, you’ll also be able to stream Sling TV to iOS, Android, Mac and PCs on day one. Amazon Fire TV, Roku enabled TVs, Roku set-top boxes, Google Nexus Player, Samsung and LG Smart TVs will also have the alternative service ready as well. While the channel line-up is notably missing CBS, NBC, Fox and ABC – this is a nice alternative for those willing to pay the simple price of $20 a month.
