50 Cent Details ‘POWER’ Spinoff Show Starring Mary J. Blige & Final Season Breakdown

Power Book II: Ghost

This weekend, 50 Cent and Courtney Kemp were guest on the Television Critics Association summer press tour and explained why they weren’t ending Power just yet. Fifty and Courtney revealed the first spin-off series for the Power universe and confirmed it will be starring Mary J. Blige.

The show entitled, Power Book 2: Ghost, will explore James St. Patrick’s rise to fame with Tommy, Tasha and Kanan, who was set up in the process for their takeover.

50 spoke on Mary saying, “I said I got to find a replacement for me, we found somebody that Courtney’s gonna have a ball working with because it’s female orientated and somebody who’s got enough juice and grace to make the show even bigger.”

Following that, they revealed that the final season will air in two separate parts. The first 10 episodes of season six will start on August 25th, while the final five will arrive in January 2020. Before the panel ended, Fifty confirmed that the Black Mafia Family show was his next major project in the works.
