50 Cent To Develop Superhero Drama with STARZ

50 has more series on the way for STARZ

A few weeks after the season three premiere of “POWER” – that was shortly followed with news of a season four and fiveCurtis “50 Cent” Jackson and STARZ recently extended their overall deal with one another. It extends their business relationship for another year, which will see more projects being developed by Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. The music moguls first order of business is to develop a new superhero drama titled “Tomorrow, Today” for the network.

Following the success of “POWER,” it only made sense that the network keep Fif on board to bring more hit shows their way. The vigilante series is said to take place on the south side of Chicago and is about a veteran, who was falsely imprisoned, becoming a experiment of prison doctor who is trying to create the perfect man with some superhuman abilities that makes him a killing machine. After being set free, he looks to find good use in his newfound abilities. The concept is based on a screenplay written by 50 Cent and he will also executive-produce the series.

The deal extension and the series were revealed today by Starz at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, where they also announced three other series they have in development.
