Coming to Starz?
This weekend, 50 Cent took a break from his busy Memorial Day Weekend, to show footage from a previous drug raid and give an update on his long-awaited Black Mafia Family series. Last summer, he shared an open letter Big Meech, who thanked him for wanting to get his story out.
With consent to share non-confidential stories out to the public, the Fifty is looking to get this series out sooner than people think – citing how he believes it will be better than POWER.
Mr. Jackson went to say, “This I believe can top POWER, but when you see this season of POWER – you will not believe how good it is. The writer’s deals are done. They’re already working and communicating with BMF inside and out. To have a strong understanding of what transpired.”
This will likely add onto his overall deal with Starz, which was revealed two years ago. We’re assuming 50 is looking to get this story out to the public as soon as possible, given his intrigue for the idea. With POWER set to premiere its fourth season in a few weeks, look for possible green-light production details this fall – leading to a possible late 2018 debut on the premium network.
Hopefully it can be a contender to generating a following like HBO’s The Wire.
