Get ready for a Death Row visit to Tha Dogg House
Contrary to various reports of this being a sequel to Straight Outta Compton, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt have no ties to that neighborhood in Los Angeles and are officially working on their own biopic, DPG 4 Life. This comes just days after Welcome to Death Row was formally announced as being shopped to companies as a sequel to Straight Outa Compton, and Daz publicly venting his frustration with Universal Pictures and saying he’d rather have 50 Cent direct their film.
Well, over the weekend, Daz and Kurupt shared new photos on Instagram of the entire set over the Labor Day Holiday to reveal the forthcoming biopic was indeed being shot.
In the cast, we see Daz (Azad Arnaud), Dr. Dre (Dre’s son Curtis), Suge Knight (Reggie Nobel), The Lady of Rage as herself, Tupac (DaDa), and Kurupt (Melvin Jackson Jr.). The DPGCs explained the scene they recorded over the weekend was a look back at how Daz got the entire Death Row family in the studio to record “Ambitionz Az a Ridah” and “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” within a 24-hour time period.
