Beats by Dre Introduces New Line of Wireless Headphones

During today’s Apple event, the company said it had the “courage” to do away with the headphone jack in favor of the lightning port. So, the next generation of devices will no longer have the aux cord (unless you plug in that adaptor, of course). Considering Beats by Dre is owned by Apple, it only makes sense they move with the times and introduce a new line of wireless headphones in time for the launch of iPhone 7.

As you can see in the video up top, the BeatsX headphones will carry the newly introduced W1 chip, Class 1 Bluetooth and fast fuel charging. If you only have five minutes to juice up, the charge will give you two hours of playback, compared to eight hours on full battery.

The Powerbeats3 will carry 12 hours of playback with one full charge, while the Solo3 can last up to 40 hours on a full battery charge. BeatsX and Powerbeats3 are coming this fall with a $150 and $200 price tag, compared to the Solo3’s which will cost $300 and available for pre-order now.
