Today, GQ put up a featured article on how Chance the Rapper’s life became perfect – on the outside looking in. At the age of 23, the independent rapper-singer has gained commercial, to earn honors of having the first-ever streaming-exclusive album to chart Billboard 200, with his recent project Chance 3. Above, Chano takes us on a tour through his city, as well as breaking down the history and origins of Chicago’s music scene and being the capital of the Civil Rights movement.
He soon went to touch on doing listening parties and performing at venues that didn’t particularly like hip-hop – as he explained how the genre has become the biggest attraction for those locations.
