It’s a tough Wednesday in the Murphy as comedian Charlie Murphy has passed at 57 years old in New York City due to leukemia. The actor was getting undergoing chemotherapy to treat the disease and his family is shocked at the news, considering they thought he was getting better.
Although he got his start way before then, he was most famous for his role on Chappelle’s Show, where he told the funniest stories of Prince and Rick James. Eddie’s older brother also starred or helped write with The Boondocks, Norbit and Vampire in Brooklyn.
Rest in power to Charlie.
