Surprise! The trio of Dave Chappelle, Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey are launching a new podcast. It will be called The Midnight Miracle and will live on Apple Podcasts when the new subscription platform debuts in May. You will be able to find it on The Luminary Network and the three recorded over 100 hours worth of content that has been edited into a season worth of episodes.
Here’s a little insight on what the podcast will be about:
“Provides a glimpse into a very interesting season in the lives of the three hosts and their friends, and features guests from among the country’s most influential cultural icons. The conversations are punctuated with sketches, impersonations, archival audio clips.”
There will also be a soundtrack (that was recorded at Chappelle’s 2020 Summer Camp, which will feature D’Angelo, Heatwave, Charlie Parker and more.
Dave added, “Making a podcast isn’t the obvious next move for me, but it’s the right one. The Midnight Miracle gives you a look into how me and my friends process the world around us, and I think it will change the way listeners think of what a podcast can be.”
