DC Comics Confirms ‘Wonder Woman 2’ Timeline

Wonder Woman 2 coming!

With Wonder Woman nearing $1 billion revenue, reports have surfaced regarding an official sequel. While DC Comics is yet to share a release date for the project, production details emerged through Screenrant. Wonder Woman 2 is scheduled to be set in the 1980s, during the Cold War.

Following her epic introduction this summer, Diana Prince will be taking on the Soviet Union, during the last days of the Cold War (Justice League should give more information). Geoff Johns is also set to return as producer, as he’s currently creating a script for the sequel with director Patt Jenkins.

Chris Pine is also set to return as the love interest of Diana, but it’s unclear how he’ll be written back into the story – given his plane crash at the end of the film. Originally, it was rumored that WW2 would have a more modern sequel, but we’re always up to enjoy a blast from the past.

Let us know if you’re okay with ‘80s nostalgia, in comparison to a modern presentation.
