Desus & Mero Reportedly Leaving VICELAND for Showtime

Congrats on the new deal guys. . .

Nearly two years ago, comedy duo Desus Nice and The Kid Mero (official respected OnSMASH originals), took their talents from the digital world and became giants in the late-night world. The show was pitted up with fellow cable rivals, The Daily Show and Conan on TBS.

Surprisingly, The Bodega Boyz held their own against competition from the heavyweights to gain notice of CBS Corporations. So much, that CBS is planning to give them a larger platform, as Desus and Mero are reportedly taking their talents from VICELAND to Showtime.

The current series is expected to air its final episode on June 28th, which will transition from daily late-night episodes to a major weekly show. It’s unclear when the new series on Showtime will air; but we’re assuming it’ll be part of their big fall eighteen line-up; going up against HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Let us know in the comments what you think of the move.
