The first trailer for Devil’s Pie: D’Angelo has been released following its premiere at Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend.
The documentary, directed by Carina Bijlsma, follows the highs and lows of D’Angelo‘s life. It covers everything from his natural talent and the platinum success of Brown Sugar and Voodoo, to struggling with alcoholism and his car accident, to returning after a decade with Black Messiah. Friends and collaborators like Questlove and Pino Palladino make appearances in the upcoming film.
