Disney Reveals First ‘Han Solo: A Star Wars Story’ Cast Photo with Donald Glover

Yesterday in London, photography for Han Solo: A Star Wars Story has finally started, as the main cast took a break from their on-going filming of the project to shoot some team pictures.

Disney tapped Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca and both directors to take the first ever public photo. With the project set for a May 25, 2018, it will serve as an immediate follow-up to next December’s Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

The project, which is set to a have a heist or western type feel is explained with a synopsis of – “the movie will explore the duo’s adventures before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, including their early encounters with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian.”

With filming likely to last throughout the summer, look for a possible teaser trailer to emerge next holiday season after Episode 8 is in theaters. Take a look at the full main cast photo below.
