Dissertation: A KanYe West Story [Documentary]

A look at YEEZY

We’re a few hours away from the release of Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo. We hardly know who will be on there besides decoding a piece of paper everyone wrote on and a tracklist he barely released. We haven’t had a G.O.O.D. Friday in 23 days. But all the talk the past few weeks has surrounded what ‘Ye is doing. From his Yeezy Season 3 collection, statements on Twitter, debut at Madison Square Garden, what the upcoming album is sounding like and his Twitter spat with Wiz Khalifa.

DISSERTATION has put together a new documentary titled A KanYe West Story, which dissects the different sides of Yeezy, as told by a few critics in the field (New York Times, FADER, Pitchfork and Complex). From the ego to his passion, crazy genius and/or craving to be better than anyone breathing, that and much more is discussed in the 16-minute film.

Love him or hate him, it will at least make you understand the method behind the madness a bit more and we almost guarantee you’ll give the new tracks a spin afterwards.

Directed by Armani Ortiz & Dan Buyanovsky.
