Donald Glover is having a crazy 2018, and it could be about to get even bigger. According to Collider, the Atlanta and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor is on the shortlist to star as Willy Wonka in the upcoming Warner Bros. reboot.
Others on the list to play the iconic role include Ryan Gosling and Ezra Miller. The movie is being put together by Harry Potter producer David Heyman and Man Seeking Woman creator Simon Rich, and is rumored to be a prequel exploring Wonka’s origin story.
The film will follow the 2005 adaptation starring Johnny Depp, and of course, the classic 1971 adaptation starring Gene Wilder.
