It’s always funny to see the jokes fly about Michelle Williams and how she’s the forgotten member of Destiny’s Child. The thing is, the joke is always on her. We’ve never actually seen her make fun of herself about it until this Footlocker commercial.
In it, Draymond Green is chilling on a couch when he’s approached by Horace Grant. When Draymond doesn’t recognize him, Grant puts on his signature glasses and schools him on “standing out” with MVP’s on his team. That’s when Williams butts into the conversation and agrees with him. Then the two don’t recognize her until she clarifies where she’s from and Green proceeds to ask if he could be introduced to either Beyonce or Kelly Rowland. We’re guessing Bey.
With all the controversy surrounding Draymond this past offseason, maybe this entertaining ad spot calms things down a bit. There’s still some months before the season starts.
