Eddie Murphy Planning Official Standup Comeback with Netflix in Insane $70 Million Deal

Coming soon. . .

After watching friends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock score serious pay days with Netflix, it looks like Eddie Murphy is returning to standup. After taking a break the stage over the last 30 years, the streaming giant is planning to pay Eddie $70 million for a series of comedy specials.

It’s unclear how many standups Murphy will partake in, but he’s been itching to get back on the stage in recent years. He talked about it in a recent surprise appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee series, also on Netflix.

Eddie went to say, “I’m gonna do it again. It’s just, you know, everything has to be right. The only way I can get, like, an act is I gotta go to the clubs and work out.”

Take a look at the bit below and let us know in the comments what you think.
