For whatever reason, 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios believed The Late Late Show with James Corden was the best place to debut the first trailer for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
After making fans wait more than 12 hours, the official look at the film arrives after its most recent reshoots that pushed the film back from November to next February.
With Marvel planning to oversee the future of the X-Men Film Universe and Deadpool, this will likely be the final picture to feature that the cast that held roles since X-Men: First Class in 2011.
Directed by Simon Kinberg, Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.
Look for the film to open in theaters on February 14, 2019.
