Fox Sets Release Dates for 6 Marvel-Based Movies

One of these will unfortunately be Fantastic Four. . .

A few days ago, Exhibitor Relations shared important information on Fox’s Marvel film division. Following the amazing feedback received from Logan earlier this year, the X-Men Universe is already in the process of switching from its original characters and long-time actors from the last 17 years.

Next year, Fox Pictures has confirmed release dates scheduled for Deadpool 2, New Mutants and X-Men: Dark Phoenix; which is drawing more interest to us than both the Disney-based MCU and Warner’s DCU. The official dates, which began in two years are set for: June 7, 2019, November 22, 2019, March 13, 2020, June 26, 2020, October 2, 2020 and March 5, 2021.

We’re assuming that a Deadpool 3 film with Ryan Reynolds franchise will be headlining the collective of films. At the moment, Ryan’s biggest plan has been getting the X-Force film off the ground, so that’ll be huge priority from his part and help from 20th Century Fox.

Gambit, which suffered multiple delays in recent years, is likely to re-enter development, as well as another take on the Fantastic Four series. Examining the list of projects in store, it’s likely that Fox is taking an aggressive approach to avoid losing some franchise and characters to Marvel.
