Nightflyers coming this summer. . .
With HBO officially confirming that Game of Thrones won’t be back until 2019, George R.R. Martin is planning a new series for Syfy. Based on his Nightflyers book series, the sci-fi/horror project is set to debut on the cable network later this year and will star Gretchen Mol.
The story, much like the book, follows a spaceship crew seeking extraterrestrial life on the far reaches of the galaxy – seems basic, but we expect R.R. to make this into something epic.
While no other details were revealed for those of you who didn’t read or watch the film of the 80s, Martin expects the show to premiere later this year in July. Let us know in the comments below if you’re interested in a Nightflyers series from the classic novel books.
