‘Game of Thrones’ Creators Set to Develop New ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy Movie Series

insane. . .

With Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss taking this year to develop the final season of their fantasy-action series, major news emerges this week. Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that the pair has officially joined the Star Wars galaxy.

The two are set to write and produce a new trilogy series for the franchise; which will be separate from both Rian Johnson’s trilogy and the Skywalker Saga by J.J. Abrams for Episode IX.

Benioff and Weiss said, “In the summer of 1977 we traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and we’ve been dreaming of it ever since. We are honored by the opportunity, a little terrified by the responsibility, and so excited to get started as soon as the final season of Game of Thrones is complete.”

Following the announcement, this puts the future of controversial Confederate series in question.
