‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Series Filming Details Revealed

Coming early 2020. . .

Last year, HBO confirmed that Game of Thrones would be getting multiple spin-off series. With the main entry of the franchise ending, new details emerge about the upcoming prequel. According to The Belfast Telegraph, HBO is planning to begin filming for the first spin-off in October.

Staff at the Paint Hall studios in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter were told that the prequel was their next major project. In past years, Paint Hall served as the main studio for the franchise, which shouldn’t come as a shock to die hard viewers. With Kingsman writer Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin helming the script, it’s being rumored that the show will be titled The Long Night.

As far as the show’s premise, it’ll take place thousands of years before events for Game of Thrones, during the Age of Heroes. It’ll also give a complete breakdown of the Stark family and the origins of the White Walkers. Look for first photos to emerge before the end of the year.
