Star Wars: The Force Awakens is finally hitting theaters December 18th, but unlike the last three movies, George Lucas isn’t directing it. In a quick chat with the filmmaker, he talks advice for future Star Wars directors, curiosity around what happened to Darth Vader’s grandkids, what character he would be and why he stopped making films for the franchise.

New director J.J. Abrams also pops up for a funny response.
