HBO Releases Debut Teaser for ‘Paterno’ Penn State Film Starring Al Pacino

Paterno coming spring 2018. . .

One of the most uncomfortable things to ever witness in the sports world, was the child sex-abuse scandal with Jerry Sandusky at Penn State. With the public a few years removed from seeing the situation, HBO is readying the release of their long-awaited film, Paterno. The project will star Al Pacino as former head coach Joe Paterno, who was fired from the team in 2011.

Following his firing, Paterno died from complications with lung cancer in January 2012, while Sandusky was essentially sentenced to life in prison with combined chargers. While vaguely revealing a spring 2018 time-frame release, get a first look at Pacino portraying Paterno in the clip above.
