Ruth Wilson Stars in ‘I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House’ Netflix Trailer

You might know Ruth Wilson from films like Saving Mr. Banks and Locke, but her biggest roles to date have been in Luther, and the most well-known on the US side of the pond, Showtimes’ The Affair.

For one of her first roles since breaking out with The Affair, Wilson plays the lead in the upcoming Netflix film, I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (probably the longest title you’ll see this year), directed by Oz Perkins.

In it, she plays a live-in nurse who moves into a house to care for an elderly woman, except her home is haunted. “I have heard myself say, a house that holds a memory of a death is the staying place of a rutted ghost,” says Ruth’s character Lily at the start of the trailer. We’re not sure what’s scarier — her creepy voice or the events themselves.

The horror movie hits Netflix on October 28th.
