Over the course of the past year or two, Instagram has been trying hard to take game from other social networks. Most notably, Snapchat. From adding “Stories” to their platform to now integrating photo and video messages that disappear in one day, IG is now taking even more features from their rival.
Through disappearing messages, Instagram will now send notifications if the other person takes a screenshot of what you send. Meaning, you may possibly get caught up if you take screenshots of those messages on the sly. Instagram won’t let that go down.
This is a similar feature to Snapchat, in terms of how the user is alerted when someone takes a screenshot of their Snap and/or messages. It’s nothing new.
