A partnership that has come a long time in the making, PUMA and J. Cole have officially joined forces today. The two sides are sharing a new short film titled The Dreamer to go along with it.
In the film, a young Jermaine is at the basketball court with his friends watching grown folks play, when he gets kicked out for wanting to shoot on the other side of the court. From there, he goes home and practices on his own hoop, until he sneaks back into the park to play by himself.
The film then shows grown Cole World shooting, with footage of him as a kid practicing at home.
As we all know, the North Carolina rapper played ball in high school and in college for St. John’s University before releasing his breakout mixtape The Warm Up.
As a result of the new partnership with their new ambassador, PUMA is rolling out their Sky Dreamer shoe, which hits Footlocker shelves and online retailers on Thursday. The sneaker will have a retail price of $130.
