The next big hit from Showtime?
Following fall cancellations of Roadies, House of Lies and Master of Sex, Showtime is looking ahead to pair up new series with its stand-out hits Homeland and Billions. This week, the CBS brand has announced a new Jamie Foxx executive series, entitled White Famous.
The show is set to feature former Saturday Night Live member, Jay Paraoah, as he will portray Jamie as Floyd Mooney – who’s seeking crossover fame (hence the title). Alongside show girlfriend Megalyn Echikunwoke and career agent Utkarsh Ambudkar, the former writer and executive producer of Californication will continue his duties for the premium network’s next potential hit.
Look for details this summer, regarding details of the half-hour comedy’s pilot premiere, starring Jay Pharoah and Jamie Foxx, who’s set to have a recurring role.
