Jhenè Aiko Talks Love, Loss, Diversity & Family for VICE Documentaries

A few weeks ago, Jhené Aiko was featured on VICE Autobiographies to give her short tale of career choices and life-changing events. During the intimate sit-down, she opened up on signing a deal at 12 and learning the music business at an early age with the help of her sisters.

The Los Angeles girl also spoke on taking a leap of faith for her debut mixtape, Sailing Soul(s), explaining how she had to quit her day job and put complete focus in upstarting a music career. During the personal conversation, she also discussed her older brother’s unfortunate passing from cancer four years, which is one of the main drives for her current creative process.
