Mamba Mentality x Kung Fu Kenny Mentality
Over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar and Kobe Bryant made a stop at Complex Con ‘17 in their backyards of Los Angeles. The two town icons, sat-down to discuss their evolution to greatness, which is more similar than they realized before sharing their timeliness with each other.
The Black Mamba explained his evolution from no. 8 to no. 24 – citing that he was out to prove he was just a good as Michael Jordan before championships. After getting recognition and changing his jersey, he wanted to give back to the youth coming up in the league and spread knowledge.
Kendrick went to echo those same words, saying he was looking to gain respect when he first came up with Top Dawg and Jay Rock as K. Dot. After his acclaimed success and becoming King Kung Fu Kenny, he’s looking to teach younger kids coming up in the rap game.
