FX has announced that its new series, Marvel’s Legion, has been renewed for a second season. The news arrives ahead of tonight’s episode, which will be the sixth out of eight, with the first season coming to an end on March 29th.

“The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement,” says FX original programming co-president Eric Schrier. “More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the super hero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations. It’s a privilege to work again with Noah, his producing partners, the outstanding cast and our partners at Marvel Television on another season of Legion.”

Legion was created by the man behind FX’s Fargo, Noah Hawley, and stars Dan Stevens as the lead alongside the likes of Rachel Keller and Aubrey Plaza. It’s based on Marvel’s X-Men comic of the same name.
