Lucasfilm Announces Multiple Dates for Next Phase of ‘Star Wars’ Films in 2020

next Phase. . .

With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker set to release later this year in the holidays, Disney has shared details for the next 6 years in the Star Wars saga. The Rise of Skywalker concludes the nine-picture saga, that began with the original 1977 pilot. Disney and Lucasfilm revealed dates for December 16, 2022, December 20, 2024 and December 18, 2026 for the next phase of Star Wars films.

Considering Rian Johnson of The Last Jedi film is creating his own trilogy, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have one of their own as well. It’s unclear which direction they’ll go for, but we’ll be monitoring the situation heavily in the coming months.
