Watch a Teaser for Eminem’s ‘Marshall from Detroit’ Documentary

We all know the story of Eminem and his love for the city of Detroit. Thanks to Felix and Paul Studios, now we can hear it from the man himself through the upcoming Marshall From Detroit documentary. The film finds Marshall Mathers riding around the city at night, as he comments on his upbringing and desire to make it out through rap. Coincidentally, regardless of the fame, Slim Shady has never left and he will explain why in the movie.

Marshall From Detroit was filmed in VR to give the documentary a more first-hand account of Detroit and take viewers inside the mind of Eminem.

Director Caleb Slain had this to say about the technology used:

“Our idea was to extend the blanket of intimacy offered by VR beyond the once-in-a-lifetime ride with Marshall and introduce you to a more mystic version of Detroit you could never see for yourself. We wanted to take the ‘reality’ out of VR and cook it down into something more unreal, but also truthful.”

The film is supposed to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this week.
