Marvel Explains How ‘Avengers 4’ Will Be a Finale Film

More films coming after Avengers 4!

With Marvel Comics debuting the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, Kevin Feige shared some interesting news, regarding the immediate future for the MCU. As the studio and Disney gears up for possible exits of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner; both entities are properly planning ahead for the future.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Feige confirmed that Avengers 4 in 2019, will be sort of a finale for this current crop of characters. While some actors will likely renew their contracts in 2020, Feige went to say, “22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before—intentionally. We’re looking for worlds that are completely separate—geographically or in time—from the worlds that we’ve already visited.”

As Star Wars also gears up for deeper exploration of its galaxy with new storylines and characters, Kevin is echoing that same notion for future phases in the Marvel Universe.

He closed out saying, “Avengers 4 will bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale. There will be two distinct periods. Everything before ‘Avengers 4’ and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.” Given these comments, we’re not expecting anything short of the greatest comic film they could produce in two years for its release.
