With Phrase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe only 11 months into its decade-end presentation, Disney continues promotional efforts for one of their biggest franchises. Today, Marvel shares the official debut teaser trailer for their upcoming holiday 2017 film, Thor: Ragnarok.
The project, which serves as a follow-up to 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, sees the God of Thunder losing his signature weapon, Mjolnir; as fans find out why Thor never misplaces his rare artifact.
After meeting newcomer Hela, the Goddess of Death soon smashes his hammer into a million pieces; which leaves him helpless. Her plan is eventually to do the same to to his homeland of Asgard, which she takes Thor into custody, and throws him into a gladiator-style battle for his life.
The Hulk makes an appearance in the film, as his fellow Avenger is thrilled to see him on location – desperately needing help. However, the green giant ignores his friends wishes; as the two have the long-awaited fight fans have been waiting for nearly five years, since the original Avengers of 2012.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins – Thor: Ragnarok arrives November 3, 2017.
