Selma
Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt’s historical epic drama film, Selma finally arrives to theaters after its original delayed December 25th release. The Martin Luther King, Jr. driven motion picture, centers on the historic 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches he partook in with James Bevel and Hosea Williams. The $20 million project is fresh from its American Film Institute over the holiday and unfortunately didn’t receive a great reaction. Luckily, the film’s premise plus its its cast of David Oyelowo, Tom Wilkinson, Carmen Ejogo, Tim Roth, Oprah Winfrey and Common will be enough for casual goers to give the Paramount Pictures release a second glance.
