Earlier this month, Adidas Originals announced that they will be bringing back the iconic Stan Smith silhouette for the Spring 2014, launching the official ad campaign for the shoe. Next year the classic model will be coming in many colorways and custom renditions, but Japanese-based streetwear brand NEIGHBORHOOD who are long-time collaborators of Adidas will be the first to tackle the 50 year old silhouette.
NEIGHBORHOOD head designer, Shinsuke Takizawa tricks the classic clean-cut Stan Smith out with a premium chocolate brown leather upper, and do things very out of the norm by adding branding to the toecap. The shoe also features NEIGHBORHOODS skull/cross bone logo branded on the tongue.
The NEIGHBORHOOD x Adidas Originals Stan Smith will be available January 2nd over at the NEIGHBORHOOD online shop and the Japan flagship location.
