We thought Narcos was all about Pablo Escobar, but it turns out the Netflix series is looking beyond that. As you probably saw in Seasons 1 and 2, Escobar didn’t make it past them and in Season 3, the feds are focusing on the folks on the come up after him: The Cali Cartel.
In the new teaser for the show, we get a little update of what happened last season and what we can look forward to for the next 12 episodes. The prime targets are Miguel Orejuela and Gilberto Orejuela out of Cali, Colombia, the two brothers running the Cali Cartel. They’re just as dangerous as Escobar before them, and ended up becoming one of the largest drug trafficking organizations in the history of the world.
“The Rise Of A New Empire” in Narcos Season 3 premieres on Netflix on September 1.
