NYPD Arrest Two Suspects for Times Square Mercedes Burnout Incident

two have been arrested for the viral clip

Last weekend, a viral video surfaced, with multiple street racing cars driving through the Theatre District of Manhattan. NYPD officers spotted a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe creating a large crowd of smoke, and believed whoever was in a car was driving recklessly. After attempting to stop the driver on-foot, the NYPD member was moved by the vehicle.

Soon after, the team began to pull their best impersonation of Grand Theft Auto officers, chasing them with guns drawn around civilians. After spending the next several days doing a serious investigation, two men in connection to the incident were arrested.

Arfhy Santos, 20, and William Lopez, 24, were found in uptown Manhattan, and immediately transported to Midtown South station, where charges are still pending. NYPD’s Regional Fugitive Task Force (there’s no escaping NYC with cameras on every corner b) were unfortunately successful in finding the men; but the Mercedes C63 is yet to be located. Through the report, Santos was the alleged driver, and Lopez (the owner of vehicle) was seen riding in the passenger seat.

The two natives of the Bronx are believed to be in the same exotic car club and allegedly have a prior criminal record. However, the person who recorded the viral clip, sided with the drivers – citing that NYPD officers aggressively used force in traffic. Take a look at the above.
