With the new CHANEL Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection enlisting two big celebrities as part of their campaign, it is only right they go out of the box and create something bigger than just the designer pieces. Karl Lagerfeld has gone the extra mile and directed Reincarnation, a short film inspired by the story of Coco Chanel, who was influenced by an Austrian elevator operator’s jacket in the 1950s.
As you can see in the clip, Pharrell & Cara Delevingne both take on the lead roles in the film, which also features “CC The World” as the soundtrack. Skateboard P plays the role of elevator operator, while Cara is a mischievous waitress. The two come out of their paintings and dance in the darkness of the night, something they’re not allowed to do in the daytime.
The short film also stars the likes of Heidi Mount, Jamie Bochert, Baptiste Giabiconi and Brad Kroenig.
